The days of joking on Lil Wayne may be over for good.
Skateboarding is becoming more popular by the day. Justin Beiber is doing it, Obama is doing, and to everybody's humorous benefit, Lil Wayne started doing it in 2011. He became a laughing stock after pictures & videos of him falling started to surface the internet, including the fall that led to him needing 9 stitches. The roasting didn't kill his drive to keep skating however, as he continued to constantly skate with pros and attend multiple skating events.
Lil Wayne's infamous wipe-out
Eventually most people stopped paying attention to Lil Wayne's skateboarding career as other things became news-worthy, but Lil Wayne's skating didn't stop when coverage did. He's had the best seats at every major skating event this year, and continues to skate with the world's best such as Torey Pudwill and Nyjah Huston. Earlier on Transworld's instagram page I saw a picture promoting a skate video by Lil Wayne and I figured I'd watch it just for a laugh. But, to my surprise, I didn't laugh at all. Lil Wayne had actually gotten pretty decent at skateboarding.
He's not as good as the pros he hangs out with yet, but he's definitely past the point of being taken as a joke. Check out the new video part #NeverStopJumpingFences below.
